Sounds Makes Sense

A hanging wall of different textured material; move through and listen to the sounds. Soft, quiet, harsh, loud, short, sharp and lingering sounds. Wear the sounds, walk on the sounds, squeeze, scrunch, crinkle and tear. Later we used a microphone to amplify and the chaos pad to distort the sounds.

Over the next few weeks we will be creating soundscapes.

Today we explored different sounds using things to drop and roll on our large metal tray and our large cardboard boxes with different things inside. A microphone linked to the chaos pad enabled us to distort the sounds for example changing pitch levels or adding echoes.

Inside Outside

A circle of stacked boxes with space inside. On the outside: shadows, projections and colour. Inside: a changing environment made by projected ipad drawings. Sounds on the boxes, music and smells added an extra experience.

Building, Moving, Changing.

Using 2 projections from the ends of the room and one from above, we moved the boxes to build new areas, catching different images, different colours and changing the space.

This is the first week of the 'Boxes' installation. We have been exploring what is possible using projections, moving the boxes to catch the colours and to create new spaces ad shapes.

Week 5 Interactive Net Installation

Netted

Today we filmed ourselves moving and dancing. We projected these images onto the net so that we could dance, move and watch ourselves. Later we projected drawn lines and shapes using an ipad and of course there were shadows. All this accompanied by amazing music created by participants.
