Sound
Sounds of water falling, rain and water falls.
We started in the dark listening to sounds, water and thunder and rain drops. Using projection we then created a waterfall area to move through and around adding sound using the keyboard and instruments.
LEVEL Sensory Projects
These sessions allow people with more complex needs to explore a range of arts including movement/dance performance, digital media and sound within a highly sensory environment.

Sounds Make Sense
A floor covered with bubble wrap. A microphone and chaos pad. What amazing sounds we made as we travelled over the bubble wrap, catching the sounds with the microphone and distorting this sound by using the chaos pad. Later we added colour by drawing on the ipad and projecting this onto the floor as we moved over and through the space.

Sounds Make Sense
Suspended bike wheels, lights and rolling wheel rims.
Today we explored the sounds we could make using bike wheels. We took wooden sticks, running them over the spinning spokes. This made a great sound and lovely shadows on the floor.
We rolled the wheel rims across the floor, watching and listening to them as they lost momentum and wobbled to flat on the floor.

Sounds Makes Sense
A hanging wall of different textured material; move through and listen to the sounds. Soft, quiet, harsh, loud, short, sharp and lingering sounds. Wear the sounds, walk on the sounds, squeeze, scrunch, crinkle and tear. Later we used a microphone to amplify and the chaos pad to distort the sounds.

Sound
Over the next few weeks we will be creating soundscapes.
Today we explored different sounds using things to drop and roll on our large metal tray and our large cardboard boxes with different things inside. A microphone linked to the chaos pad enabled us to distort the sounds for example changing pitch levels or adding echoes.
